Wednesday evening Wes and I arrived in KC for Thanksgiving with Mom and Dad. We sat around and chatted for a while and then decided it was time for dinner. Wes always says that my parents and I go out to eat at all of the "good" places when he's not in town, so we let him decide where we would eat. He chose P.F. Changs down on the Country Club Plaza. For those of you have never eaten there, it is a wonderful Chinese Bistro. I highly recommend the chicken lettuce wraps..they are like none other. Well, as we were enjoying our dinner we had this wonderful idea to venture across the street for coffee and dessert when finished. Across the street was The Cheesecake Factory. If you know me very well then you know I do not like black coffee, I like the "foo-foo" stuff. Wes jokes that my coffee beverages can be no shorter than 10 syllables. My mom, dad, and Wes all ordered plain 'ol coffee, then it was my turn. I ordered a vanilla cafe espresso...holy cow it was awesome. Needless to say with my vanilla bean cheesecake and that drink I was on a sugar high. We had a great time and it was nice to spend time, just the four of us, before the troops arrived Thanksgiving day.
