In my family there is an understood rule, you don't celebrate Christmas until after Thanksgiving. In the past I have been very strict with myself when it comes to this rule. This year however, I dropped the ball. I am feeling guilty so I have decided to confess to all of you! First off, I have been listening to KPLA. For those of you who don't know, all they've been playing is Christmas music. I try to by-pass the station, but dang it I stop every time! Second, I had Wes put up the Christmas lights this Sunday. It was a not so cold day and I convinced him that the weekends would only get colder and he should put them up while it was still "warm". (Really I was thinking, 'Shoot when I get back from KC next Saturday, we're going to be busy putting up decorations inside. We won't have time for the outside!)
So being the wonderful husband that he is, he fulfilled my wish. We have not turned on the lights, so I don't feel too bad.
I am very excited this holiday season to decorate the new house. Two trees this year! I'll post more holiday pics as I get things up. Happy Thanksgiving!

Ah, Janelle you have come to the other side. Isn't it fun??!! We are taking off early tomorrow to put our lights up, I can't wait.
Oh my gosh! I'm totally getting into the Christmas spirit early this year too. Liam and I baked cookies on Sunday and I had to bring them into work. I can't wait to make some homemade bread something. I almost made monkey bread while you're folks were visiting last weekend, but just ran out of time/energy. I can't wait to decorate the house this weekend. At least I'm waiting until after Thanksgiving to do that.
