Summer TIme!!

Ainsleys Room

Playing with Dad in the pool.

Jaxon calls his pool his "bath".

Summer is finally here. As I write that I can only think that this Thursday I am back to work! Ha! I will be teaching summer school from June 16-30th to make a little extra moola for when Miss Ainsley makes her debut. Speaking of Ainsley, she is doing great. At my last appointment she was measuring a week and a half ahead of schedule, heart rate was good, and she is quite the mover and shaker. Her room is a work in progress right now. We have her bed put together, paint on her walls, and curtains hung. We will be sending her furniture off to be re-painted this week. Her two dressers are the set my mom and Aunt Connie used as girls! I also had one of the dressers as I was growing up.

Jaxon is adjusting as well as a 1 year old can to the idea of a new person coming into his life. He kisses my belly and says, "baby". When we ask him to take something to Ainsley's room he know exactly where to go. He is going to be a wonderful big brother.

Jaxon is also developing verbally, mentally, and physically. Verbally he shocks Wes and myself daily. This past weekend we were all watching Sesame Street in our room when Jaxon got up, stood in the hallway, and said, "Go Kitchen, crackers". Wes and I looked at each other as if to say did our 1 year old just say "kitchen?" Mentally he is always figuring things out. He loves to put his puzzles together, and use his sorting blocks. He is very well aware of all things "lellow" (yellow) too. Lastly, physically he is advancing leaps and bounds. He likes to take the stairs like a big boy, one foot then the other and really likes to make his parents nervous when attempting to go down the stairs like a big boy. He definitely keeps us on our toes and laughing daily. He is the best little man a Mommy and Daddy could ask for.

Kolby will be arriving in KC on Thursday. It's hard for me to believe that I am going to have a 12 year old to hang out with this summer. Where did time go? He was only 3 when we first met! We have lots of fun things planned for the summer with Kolby. The first activity he will be attending is baseball camp. He will go for 4 days, just like last summer to learn some new techniques and hang out with other boys his age. We also have park days, KC trips, and Im sure a few golfing sessions in the works for his stay.

Lastly, Wes and I are doing well. Wes is busy with work and doing a great job. He is a perfect fit for his job as a financial advisor. He amazes me with his knowledge about stocks, funds, and all the other terms that sound foreign to me. :) Wes just traded in his beautiful Lincoln Mark LT for a Lincoln MKX. While we will miss his truck, we know that this vehicle is better suited for our family.

Hopefully, I will find time this summer to blog about the fun times we are sharing with friends and family.
