My "Skater" Boys
1st 4th of July Parade! Now that Im a Mommy, I stink at keeping up with this blog! Perhaps I should do 4 entries, Summer, Fall, Winter, and Spring. I'd probably fail to keep up with that if I commited to that too. Oh well.
Here's how our summer has looked....
-Kolby arrived in Jefferson City in June and has been a great help around the house. He is such a good big brother to Jaxon. Those two are bound to be best buds. Kolby attended a baseball camp, has had friends over, been to Big Surf, and fished with his PawPaw. He heads back to Texas on Aug. 6. Im gonna miss having that boy around.
-Jaxon has grown leaps and bounds. He is ALL OVER THE PLACE. Up the stairs, in the bathroom, under the table, on the fireplace, sitting in his toy basket, etc. One of his favorite things to do right now is, while crawling away, wave and say "bye". Well, it sounds more like "bu," but we know what he means. He also thoroughly enjoys laughing at people in public. Example: Today we went to TJ Max. While in the clearance aisle we approached a young man who was minding his own business. Jaxon looks at him and begins to laugh. He did it to the cashier too. Oh my, he is definitely his Daddy's boy. Jaxon is loving his table foods. The one that surprises me the most is pasta salad. I thought the Italian dressing in it would not be something he enjoyed...wrong. He also loves pancakes, waffles, toast, nutrigrain bars, bread, pasta, chicken, pineapple, watermelon, and various other foods. My one Mommy worry right now is that Jaxon will NOT put food into his mouth. He will try any food, but under no circumstances will he feed himself. Not even sweet stuff. Any ideas other Mommys?
Wes continues to do very well at Wells Fargo. I am one proud wife. He seems so happy with his work, which makes me happy.
As for me, Im on full time Mommy duty until August. Starting in August I go back to work here and there and officially have to be on Wife/Mommy/Teacher duty come the third week of August. Im glad I have a while, because I am going to miss spending my days with my little man. Im so afraid Im going to miss a major milestone. :( It will be good for him however, to be with other little ones.

I love his little personality that's coming out and his cheesy grins!!
My only advice on the food thing is that when he's hungry, and I'm sure he is but I mean REALLY hungry and if he won't pick it up and relies on you that he'll eventually pick it up on his own and eat. Trust me, he'll go back and forth on that for a while... Gavin's even doing that on occasion and he's 2 1/2. My grandpa always said that kids will not starve themselves, if they are hungry, they'll eat.
