Baby Shower #1

This past Saturday, June 20, I had my very first baby shower. What a great day! The shower was hosted by Wes's Aunt Carol at her home in Jefferson City. There was such a nice turn out, it really made me feel special. When Mom and I first arrived we had some time to chit chat and say hello to everyone. We played a couple of games, ate great food, and then I opened gifts. The games were too fun and original. My favorite was when I had to undress and re-dress a baby while blindfolded. Little did I know that when the diaper came off of the baby I was going to get a shower because as I was told, "you know what little boys do when their diaper is off." Everyone had guessed how long it would take me to complete my task. My time was a little shy of 2 minutes! Not too shabby for being blindfolded. :)
When we got to gifts I was surprised by the creative and awesome gifts people had purchased. I had a diaper cake that came with a hilarious story. Originally Wes's cousin Amber had told Carol she was bringing a diaper cake. About a week ago Carol called Amber to find out how many people the cake would feed. Of course, her response was, "well, none." For those of you who don't know what a diaper cake is, a picture is attached.
Thank you to everyone who helped put my shower together. I had such a good time. Jaxon is such a lucky little boy to be coming into a world with all of you in it.
