Anyone who knows me knows that I am a huge fan of traditions. For example, it is a must that I am in KC for Thanksgiving, that the house has the amazing smell of turkey, that the Cronin's are present, and that I watch the Macy's parade on t.v. The day after Thanksgiving it is required that Mom and I go shopping...okay browsing and out to eat prior to meeting the Cronin's for dinner and then heading to Mike and Jenn's for the Plaza lighting. This need for tradition and routine is something I am determined to have for Jaxon.
Now that he is a little older (1 year), the traditions have begun. This Halloween we started with orange colored pancakes in the shape of pumpkins and ghosts for breakfast. Later on in the day, after our morning nap, we headed outside to carve a pumpkin that would light the path for all our trick-or-treaters. Finally, Halloween evening we put on our tiger costume and headed out to collect some yummy treats. Of course this year we only made 2 stops. First we saw Memaw and PawPaw Weider, then we went to MeMaw Irene's. Jaxon came home with lots of goodies for only two stops.
I hope as the years go on Jaxon loves his family traditions as much as his mom does. :)
