The thought running through my head right now is, "Shhh, he's finally sleeping!" I guess that sums up why I haven't posted in so long. Jaxon is one busy boy and boy does he like to fight sleep. Our typical day goes a little something like this; wake up, get ready for work, feed Jaxon, go to work, pick Jaxon up from daycare, feed Jaxon, feed myself, play with Jaxon, get Jaxon ready for bed, feed Jaxon, put Jaxon down, relax in bed for about 20 min., see if Jaxon is okay since he is crying, feel my heart begin to pound because I hate hearing him cry, cave, go in to Jaxon's room, feed Jaxon, fall asleep in the recliner with Jaxon, hear my alarm...repeat. The crazy part is...I love every minute of this crazy, hectic life I am living.
Jaxon is my world. I love to watch him learn new things and experience something for the first time. Here are some fun new things my little man is doing...
1. Reaching for Mommy when he wants to be held. (Makes my heart melt every time.)
2. Buzzing his lips. (There is nothing better than a sloppy kiss after he has done this.)
3. Saying "Dada" and "Bubba" (Don't worry, I'm still working on Momma)
4. Sitting up on his own for prolonged periods of time. (He doesn't even wobble anymore!)
5. Getting up on all fours and rocking back and forth. (When he attempts to go forward...he face plants)
6. Scooting backwards rather than crawling forwards. (If you turn your back, he's usually in a corner)
7. Eating stage 2 foods for "sitters" (Bring on the banana, apple, and strawberry)
8. Giving Mommy and Daddy belly laughs when he is tickled. (I think Mommy and Daddy enjoy this more than Jaxon.)
9. Chewing on everything. (That's what you do when you have 2 bottom teeth.)
10. Making his parents proud every day!

You summed it up well. I remember those days and they only get better as they grow and learn new things.
I can't wait to see him this summer and see what he's up to by then. Give him a hug and kiss from his cousins and uncle and aunt. : )
