This past Saturday, Jaxon had cereal for the first time. He is getting so big and is requiring more substance to make him feel full. The whole purpose of cereal is to teach a baby how to get food from the front of the mouth to the back. The natural instinct for Jaxon right now is to use his tongue up and out, like he would for a bottle. We mix about 1 tbsp of rice cereal with 5 tbsp of breastmilk and will up the ratio as needed. Jaxon is a very determined little boy, when he sets a goal he works and works until he achieves it. I have a feeling he will master eating off of a spoon in no time.
I just can't believe he is growing up so fast. I packed away his 3 month clothes today to make room for his 3-6 and even some 6-9 month clothing. I only teared up a little while taking the itty-bitty onesies off of the hangers.
Wow, eating cereal, rolling over, bigger clothing, "talking" up a storm, oh, AND he is trying to sit up. I wish I could slow down time.
I hope everyone has a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

The baby years really go by way too fast. I only wish the toddler years went by so fast. Can't wait to see everyone in just two days!
