First Halloween

Ghost, goblins, werewolves, and more...my son was none of the above. Jaxon experienced his first Halloween yesterday. We decided not to do a costume this year for Jaxon. After looking at costumes around town, they all seemed too warm. Instead Jaxon wore a couple of different outfits that family members had purchased for him. The first outfit came from Chris, Amanda, and Grady. It was a little sleeper that said, "My First Halloween." The second outfit came from Great Aunt Vickie, Uncle Phil, Meredith, and Scott. It was a pumpkin t-shirt and pumpkin hat. Jaxon looked very cute.
Our evening began with passing out candy to all 10 children who graced our front porch. Next, we headed to Memaw and Poppa Weider's house. Great-Memaw Irene, second cousin Nicci and Natalie all were there. We enjoyed good food and conversation. Later that evening Brenda, Wayne, Wes, and I played Tick while Jaxon played on the floor. There was an exciting moment when we thought Jaxon was going to roll over. He would get his feet up and roll half way over then get stuck on his arm and end up back on his back. He did this 3-4 times. Wes and I discussed on the way home how it was exciting, yet scary, all at the same time. While we want Jaxon to learn these new things, we don't want him to grow up too fast.
All in all I think Jaxon had a wonderful first Halloween. Next year we'll see if a little ghost, goblin, or werewolf visits you for their second Halloween. :)
