This past weekend Wes, Gizmo, andI traveled to KC to spend Easter with my parents. Neither Wes nor I had to work on Good Friday, so we were in KC by 3:30ish. We spent some time talking then did a bit of shopping. My big plan for the weekend was to find a bedding set for Jaxon's room. Once the bedding is bought then we can paint, pick furniture, etc. With no luck at Babys R Us we went to Gordmans. (Ohh how I love that store.) Wes found his favorite brand of jeans there and I found some maternity shirts to cover my growing belly. After dinner we returned home and watched Slumdog Millionaire. (Great movie if you haven't viewed it yet.)
Saturday morning Wes and I joined Katie, Carrie, and Josh for breakfast at a favorite restaurant in Independence. It was too much fun catching up with my girls. Can you believe we have been friends for 23 years! After breakfast we were off to Babyland in Waldo, then in Overland Park/Olathe. We definitely found the place we will buy Jaxon's furniture from. After all of the shopping and no luck in the bedding department we stopped at Winsteads for lunch. If you have never been to a Winsteads in KC, you need to visit sometime. It has a fun 50's atmosphere and great chocolate shakes and onion rings. I highly recommend the one near the Plaza. On Sunday, Wes, Mom, Dad, and I went to church and then enjoyed lunch with Mike and Jenn. It was a wondeful Easter weekend. If only I didn't feel so hopeless about Jaxon's bedding...ahhh what's a girl to do?

Tip... look on-line then go from there :) I found Gavin's bedding on-line and ordered it with no problems. I also found his bedroom furniture on-line then found a local business and actually bought it at Babyland in KC... I love that place. I can't wait to see what bedding you pick out so I can start on your shower invites!!!
